Trinidad Moruga Scorpion - Yellow
It might be a fraction milder than the red and chocolate Moruga Scorpion, but this yellow variety is still a super hot chilli. It's striking colour makes it perfect for sauces and spices.
The Moruga Yellow Scorpion is a relative of the Moruga Scorpion Red, but is a little milder (but not *mild* by any stretch of the imagination), delivering a more fruity punch. No official testing has been done on the yellow variety, but it's thought to sit above 1 million Scoville Heat Units - so not for the faint hearted!
Pods mature to a brilliant yellow, slightly wrinkled in texture, a common characteristic with super hot chillies. The vibrant yellow means this chilli makes striking coloured spices and sauces.
The Trinidad Moruga Scorpion also comes in red and chocolate varieties.
Warning: Extremely hot! This chilli will not discriminate; Under no circumstances should one of these chillies be left with an unwitting person, especially a child.
