Jamaican Hot Yellow
One of our favourite shaped chillies, the Jamaican Hot Yellow matures to a vibrant yellow; its fruity and tropical undertones makes it a very popular choice when making Caribbean hot sauces.
This Jamaican variety looks almost like a bright yellow mushroom due to it's flat/squashed shape. It has a fruity flavour and tropical aroma, and is used in the Caribbean for making delicious hot sauces.
The plant is relatively compact, rarely exceeding 60cm in height, and is a good grower, producing more than 50 pods of fruit per plant. Fruit is green, before maturing to a golden yellow.
At 100,000 - 200,000 Scoville Heat Units, you can still taste the delectable flavour beneath the heat.
Also available in red.
