Habanero Yellow
The habanero yellow has the clean, crisp heat and fresh, fruity flavour that has made the hab family a worldwide favourite.
Most chilliheads would agree that the Habanero is the undisputed 'King of all the Chilli' species. The Yellow Habanero has the famous fruity flavour, and deep heat that is common across the entire Habanero family.
Measuring in between 200,000 to 350,000 Scoville Heat Units, the Yellow Habanero isn't for the faint hearted. It can be eaten fresh or raw, and creates beautiful golden-coloured sauces. The Yellow Habanero ripens from green to yellow. Its skin is thin and waxy with some wrinkling. Their pods have a distinctive lantern-like shape.
The Yellow Habanero can be more difficult to germinate than other Habanero varieties, but is well worth the effort.
