This Birdseye is one of the most popular chilli types sold in Australia, and is even available in some supermarkets. The plant is big, tough and very cold tolerant. The Birdseye chili is small in size but still has a bit of bite, measuring in at 100,000 to 225,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU).
