Seeing is believing! This chilli plant produces pods that resembles a man's 'private parts', and is also commonly known as the Penis Chilli or Penis Pepper. It makes a great gift for gardeners with a good sense of humour.
It is hotter than a Jalapeno, measuring in between 10,000 to 23,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU) and can replace the popular Serrano in cooking.
The Peter Pepper also comes in yellow and orange varieties, though it is thought that the red pods look most like its namesake.
