Naga Morich
With a name meaning snake or serpent chili, it should come as no surprise that this is a super hot. Related to the former world record holder, the Bhut Jolokia, it measures in at over 1 million SHU.
Naga Morich means 'snake' or 'serpent' Chile. It is believed to be very closely related in appearance, heat and flavour to its Indian cousins, the Bhut and Bih Jolokia, and is thought to measure in between 1-1.5 million Scoville Heat Units (SHU), though no official testing has been done.
The Naga Morich is sweet and fruity in flavour, and has a 'slow burn' - with the heat sometimes taking 30 seconds to kick in.
Warning: Extremely hot! This chilli will not discriminate. Under no circumstances should one of these chillies be left with an unwitting person, especially a child.
